Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum
‘The Open Era’ gallery at The Championships, Wimbledon, consists of five different themes including – Broadcasting Wimbledon, A Year in the Life of a player, Behind the Scenes in the Dressing Rooms, The Rivalries Immersive Show and The Fame Game - with the main overall theme based around rivalries between players. This was completed in support of client Mather & Co, who art directed and managed the project.
Sculpted mannequins of tennis legends in iconic poses are on open display including Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Serena Williams, Venus Williams, Martina Navratilova and Bjorn Borg. All the figures have been painstakingly recreated using photo references and true dimensions taken from the players’ actual tennis kit.
